Wyz, Voice Teacher and Founder of Sing As You Like!

About Wyz

Meet Wyz Kim-Chan, a dedicated and experienced singing teacher who believes that anyone can achieve their vocal goals in a healthy and sustainable way. Wyz is a lifelong student of singing and voice science, and he uses his knowledge and experience to empower his students to unlock their full vocal potential.

Starting off as someone who was effectively “tone-deaf,” Wyz taught himself how to sing and developed perfect pitch. He joined an award-winning choir, started a YouTube channel that has garnered over 2.8 million views, and studied voice science and vocal pedagogy to better understand his instrument.

As a teacher, Wyz is sensitive to his students’ needs and offers real-time sensory feedback to help them diagnose and solve issues. He is also a graduate of the 50-Hour New York Vocal Coaching (NYVC) Voice Teacher Training course, where he learned from industry experts like Justin Stoney.

Now, as the founder of Sing As You Like, Wyz provides the highest quality singing lessons. His philosophy is that there is no one “right way” to sing, and he encourages everyone to embrace their unique voices and sing in a way that makes them happy.

Book a singing lesson with Wyz today, and take the first step towards unlocking your full vocal potential. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced singer, Wyz will work with you to achieve your goals and become the best singer you can be.

Voice Teacher Certification

As a certified graduate of the 50-hour Voice Teacher Training Course held by New York Vocal Coaching, Wyz has the knowledge and skills necessary to help singers of all levels, backgrounds, and styles achieve their vocal goals.

The 15-week intensive course included lectures, Q&A sessions, and hands-on training, as well as the opportunity to observe master voice teacher Justin Stoney in action.

Wyz’s participation in the course not only gave him a deeper understanding of the theory and practice of teaching voice, but also the importance of providing a positive learning environment for and embracing the uniqueness of each student.

By taking this course, Wyz has demonstrated a commitment to ongoing education and professional development, which sets him apart from other singing teachers. With his certification from New York Vocal Coaching, students can be confident that they are receiving the highest quality singing lessons.
